Finally coming to grips with the fact that you like layered, traditional, “junky” vibes in your house, ultimately lends to you moving toward dilly dallying at various consignment shops, thrift stores, and estate sales to see what you can see.
I’ll say, I’m new to the estate sale game, but recently there have been quite a few in my neighborhood, and while I won’t deny my nosiness leading me into these homes to see who has been living amongst me, as such I’ve come across some good finds and may have found a new hobby.
Over the past two sales I’ve gone to and spent no more than $20 I’ve come out with a few pieces that I really love. Here they are.
Glass Vase:
This was under the most spectacular chandelier that would’ve been perfect over my bathtub, but something or other about them wanting to sell it with the house and not to me.
Nonetheless, this vase is too good and has been put to good use.

Leather Gloves:
$1 whole dollar and I get to make sure these long leather gloves get another life. I almost missed these, thus it is imperative that you always circle at least 10 times to make sure you don’t miss anything. Saw these on my last go ‘round.
Small Glasses:
If there is a proper name for these, let me know. I plan to use them as fancy shot glasses. Judge somebody else.
Vintage coat:
Diane Keaton in Baby Boom would have nothing on me in this coat. I almost didn’t get it until my neighbor was like “that looks like you”. Sold for a whopping $7.
Are you known to frequent estate sales? Tell me about some of your treasures.

How do the estate sales feel, emotionally. I wonder if they’ll make me too sad about the people who passed.
Your glasses are brandy glasses 😊 or and “after dinner” drinking glass
